This Privacy Policy describes how Koushik CH ("I", "me", or "the Developer"), an independent Magento-certified developer and Packaged App Development Specialist based in Bengaluru, India, collects, uses, and protects information in connection with the Magento extensions, modules, and integrations ("Extensions") published on the Adobe Commerce / Magento Marketplace.

This policy applies to all merchants, store administrators, and end users who download, install, or interact with Extensions developed by Koushik CH. By installing or using any such Extension, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

Extensions developed by Koushik CH are built with a privacy-first approach. Data collected (if any) varies by Extension and falls into the following categories:

a. Extensions That Collect No Personal Data

Most utility and functional Extensions operate entirely within your own store environment and do not transmit any data to external servers. No personal information about merchants, store administrators, or end customers is collected, stored, or transmitted by these Extensions.

b. Extensions with External Communication

Certain Extensions may communicate with external services for purposes such as license validation, update checks, or third-party API integrations. In such cases, the following non-personal technical data may be exchanged:

• Store domain name and URL (for license validation only)
• Adobe Commerce / Magento version number
• Extension version number
• Store locale and currency settings (only when required by an integration)

Merchant-provided API credentials for third-party services are stored locally in your Magento installation and are never transmitted to the Developer.

Each Extension's listing on the Magento Marketplace clearly specifies which category it falls into and what, if anything, is transmitted externally.

4. How Information Is Used

Any data exchanged for the purposes listed above is used solely to:

• Validate that the Extension license is active and legitimate
• Provide critical security patches and functional updates
• Diagnose reported bugs or compatibility issues when explicitly requested by the merchant
• Comply with applicable legal obligations under Indian law and relevant international data protection regulations

The Developer does not use any collected data for advertising, profiling, resale, analytics, or any purpose unrelated to the functionality of the specific Extension.

5. Merchant Customer Data

Extensions that operate within your Magento store may access data belonging to your customers (such as names, addresses, or order details) solely to deliver the Extension's functionality within your own server environment.

The Developer does not receive, store, or process your customers' personal data on any external infrastructure. You, as the merchant and store operator, remain the data controller for all customer data processed through your Magento store. It is your responsibility to ensure your store's own privacy policy accurately describes the use of third-party extensions and any related data processing activities.

6. Third-Party Services

Certain Extensions may integrate with third-party platforms and APIs (e.g., payment gateways, shipping providers, ERP systems, CRM platforms). When such integrations are present, data shared with those third-party services is governed by the respective provider's own privacy policy. The Developer is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.

7. Data Retention & Security

Minimal operational data (such as license validation records) is retained only as long as necessary to support an active license. Upon license expiry or cancellation, associated records are permanently deleted within 90 days.

Security is a core professional commitment. All Extensions are developed in alignment with Adobe Commerce coding standards, Magento security best practices, and OWASP guidelines. The Developer holds the following certifications directly informing secure development:

8. Your Rights

As a merchant or store administrator, you have the following rights:

• Access — Request a description of what data (if any) is associated with your store
• Correction — Request correction of any inaccurate information
• Deletion — Request permanent deletion of any retained operational data
• Objection — Object to data processing beyond core Extension functionality
• Portability — Request a copy of stored data in a portable format

Requests will be acknowledged within 5 business days and fully resolved within 30 calendar days.

9. Cookies

Extensions developed by Koushik CH do not independently set cookies in end-user browsers beyond what is required by Magento's core session and cart management. Any cookie behaviour introduced by a specific Extension will be documented in that Extension's technical documentation and Marketplace listing.

10. Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect changes in the Extensions offered, new integrations, or updated legal requirements. Material changes will be communicated via the affected Extension's Magento Marketplace listing page.

Continued use of any Extension after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
